I have been traveling for a week already. I started with my hometown Ankara, and now I am writing this post to you on a train going from Amsterdam to Cologne.
I have been to Arnhem at the weekend for the first time in my life. It is a small city located in the East of Netherlands, 1,5-hour train ride from Amsterdam. Although the weather was pretty bad and rainy, I enjoyed the short time I spent there.
If you go to Amsterdam and have some more time, I would recommend visiting Arnhem. It is a city full of arts in every form.
I kept working whole week even though I was on the move.
I was mostly busy with Projectpost30. I have met fantastic women so far, and I am so thrilled to be able to spread their stories and meet new women from all over the world.
I am also excited about some other new projects that are in the pipeline. I am working on them now and hopefully will tell you more when something solid came out.
And now, please take a seat and have a look at my weekly discoveries:
Paterson is the latest movie of Jim Jarmusch. I normally don’t like movies with repetitive scenes. But this one is pretty impressive. The film tells the story of a bus driver who is also a poet (Played by Adam Driver whom I adore since the first time I saw him in TV Series, Girls) with a pretty routine life and his wife who tries to turn her various interests into concrete jobs. Although his life seems pretty dull, he is so content with it which is I think the best part of the movie. Please do check it out.
Book: It didn’t start with you
I have been recommended this book by one of the fantastic ladies I met for ProjectPost30. The book shows how traumatic legacies passed down in families over generations.
Well, I can tell that next time I see a friend in depression or trauma, I’ll think twice before saying, “come on don’t worry about it, it’ll pass”!
Place: Urban Chef
Well, if you happen to pay a visit to Arnhem, I’d recommend you stop by at this cute and hip cafe located in the heart of the city.
